In a close encounter, it is probably fair to say that Avon had as many chances , if not more than, their opponents. After an exchange of goals in the first 10 minutes (Avon's scored by Theo). The game went in Avon's favour. A superb half-volley by Taity from outside the area made it 2:1. Early in the second half Kaylum extended the lead with a skillful run and a cool finish. Paulton fought back, an unlucky deflection from a corner soon followed by a counter attack where the Paulton striker lobbed a high volley from just inside Avon's half which flew over the keeper and into the back of the net. The final minutes saw chances created and missed by both sides. Eventually a swift move from Paulton resulted in a cross that was finished off at the far post. 4:3 to Paulton at the end of a thoroughly enjoyable game.
