Cup Tie - 25th March 2007 at Lansdown
In a game where we dominated from the
start with great passing and movement, it was only a matter of time before we
scored. When it came, Henry took the chance extremely well. It wasn't all one
way traffic as Peasedown tried to equalise, but Tom, Camen, Peter and Matthew B
all did well to break down their attacks. Four goals then came in quick
succession for Avon. Sam and Zach finished off more good passing moves. Henry
scored a good individual goal. Jesse managed to turn their 6ft defender (I am
serious! I'm sure he's taller than my wife!) on the halfway line, the defender
slipped and Jesse ran the entire half of the pitch whilst being chased by 3
Peasedown players to strike into the bottom corner of the goal. Peasedown got a
goal back from the penalty spot.
In the second half the game was closer. Guy played well on the right side and
put in several good crosses. One passing move that Guy was involved in resulted
in a pass to Sam to neatly finished for his second of the game. Final score 6:1
