Avon Arsenal Comets U10 vs Cameley & Temple Youth

This friendly game saw the welcome
return of George and Ollie after a few weeks off! (the previous day, they played
a major role in their school team's victory in the Millfield 6-a-side football
tournament). George was involved in the move started off by Theo and finished by
Matthew G to give us the lead. Jack B (our new goalie) was soon called into
action as Cameley tried to equalise. Ollie was solid in defence and Leon, Dale
and Josh battled hard to contain Cameley. Towards the end of the first half
Oliie had to come off the pitch to tend to a blister. During that time Cameley
were awarded a corner. Slight disorganisation in our defence resulted in players
being unmarked and one of them met the corner to give our keeper no chance.
The second half was a nail-biting affair. Our opponents had more of the ball and
more of the chances. George counter attacked with a through ball from Dale but
hit the post with his shot. Cameley hit the woodwork a couple of times and
Jack made more good saves. Final score 1:1
