Avon Arsenal under 12 comets
moved back to the top of the Midsomer Norton & District Youth League after a 3:1
win over Shepton Mallet.
Arsenal took the lead when Darcy Fraser connected with a cross from Winchcombe
and then went two up after good individual play by Matt Warmann.
After the break, Shepton changed their formation and put greater pressure on
Avon's defence. they were rewarded with a goal scored from a very tight angle
and were disappointed when a second goal was ruled offside.
Avon secured the points when Josh Winchcombe made the most of a late corner and
reclaimed top spot after Chew Valley's game against Wells was postponed
